    The City of Daphne is seeking a full-time Safety Coordinator.  Pay is dependent on work experience/qualifications, with a range of $49,431.22 - $64,460.27 annually. Closing date is 05/09/24.

    The purpose of this role is to develop and monitor a City-wide safety program by creating a safety curriculum based on videos and training courses; administer a City-wide Safety Award program based on accident reports and "safe work" commendations; investigate accidents, incidents, and injuries occurring at various work sites; administering the City's Workers' Compensation Leave program; and maintaining the City's safety-related policies and procedures.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, Human Resources, or closely related field;
    • 3 years previous experience and/or training that includes safety program coordination, occupational safety and health, safety training, OSHA compliance, worksite inspections, worker's compensation procedures, personal computer operations, and basic supervision;
    • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
    • Valid State of Alabama driver's license
