    Topic: HR Roundtable
    Presenter: BCSHRM Board Members

As Human Resource leaders, our staff and managers always come to us for help. We wear many hats at any given time, from answering basic inquiries, navigating sensitive issues, providing benefits and creating policies to ensure the success of our organizations. Little do all these people realize though, is who is there for us? Who do we get to lean on for support? We are typically last to voice our own challenges and concerns!

This meeting will be a general "round table" open discussion, to support our fellow HR leaders with your current needs. Questions to look forward to hearing are:

    1. What is the strangest thing you have dealt with in your HR career and how did you find a solution to it?
    2. What is your workplace policy concerning firearms? How do you handle infractions if you have them?
    3. How is your company handling reproductive rights for women? Have you considered allowing your female workers to travel to states that allow abortions for a procedure and covering the costs?
    4. Covid is on the rise again. What is your company's policy regarding vaccines, time off, and childcare scenarios?
    5. Has your company experienced any quiet quitting? Did you have any turnover during the "great resignation?" How has this affected your succession planning?
    6. Are housing and transportation costs a factor in your recruiting strategies? If, yes, what are you doing?
    7. Is childcare a factor for your employees? Do you offer any solutions to assist with childcare?
    8. What is the biggest challenge you face in recruiting?

Have questions that aren't listed above? Bring them to the table, ready to openly discuss and get the support you need!
