Damian Rehorn, Training Coordinator with the City of Fairhope will talk about how Active Attacker/Active Shooter can take form in many different ways and help with:

    • Defining the difference between active shooter and active attacker, and understand why that matters.
    • Warning signs for potential active attackers, and also for other types of workplace violence.
    • Better prepare to plan for, prevent, and respond to dangerous situations in the workplace.

Damian has a background that includes the United States Army, where he served as a veteran during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005-2006). With 12 years of experience, he has worked as a police officer. Damian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He also serves as an instructor in various law enforcement fields, specializing in topics such as Active Shooter response for both law enforcement and civilians, as well as Use of Force.
